I would love to get UTM tracking implemented with ServivceM8, ultimately to be able see the sources/channels that revenue is coming from.
I have had a look and can only see the ability to do so using customer checkout with an addon. This obviously isn’t viable as I imagine it wouldn’t be for most trade business’s.
I am wondering if there is a way to get UTM implemented into the quote and invoice link?
Has anyone looked into this and found a resolution? Or spoken to ServiceM8 about it. Surely this is a simple feature they could be interested in implementing?
The customer-facing “view online” link for quotes and invoices is generated from the {document} merge field in your Email/SMS templates, which creates a unique online viewing link when the PDF is sent.
That client-facing {document} link isn’t currently available as a dedicated field/endpoint in the ServiceM8 API.
If the main goal is attribution, ServiceM8 can track UTM sources for Online Booking URLs by appending &utm_source=SourceName, and the online booking reports can show revenue generated after job completion by booking source: How to track the source of your Online Bookings - ServiceM8 Help Center
