Partner Directory Guidelines and Compliance when Marketing

Hey, I’m just wanting to make sure I’m compliant with ServiceM8 partner guidelines.

I want to create a google ad campaign for my company Grace AI, which has an API set up with ServiceM8.

If I use the google ads phrasing, “AI Front Office for Trades Using ServiceM8” or “AI Front Office for Roofers Using ServiceM8”, would this be compliant?

So long as the landing page conveys that we are two seperate companies?

Blair.

Hi Blair, do you have a link to Grace AI?

Hi Blair,

ServiceM8 Partners are third-party businesses, so it’s totally appropriate for your landing page to explain that Grace AI and ServiceM8 are separate companies.

We can’t pre-approve specific Google Ads headlines here, but the clearest published branding rules we have for integrations/add-ons are a good yardstick for ad copy and landing pages:

  • Don’t portray your integration/add-on as being developed or supported by ServiceM8.
  • If you’re listing the integration on your own website, make it clear your business developed the integration.
  • Make sure “ServiceM8” is spelled and capitalised correctly anywhere you reference it.
  • If any of the wording you’re using is actually the add-on/product name, add-on names can’t include “ServiceM8” (or variations like “M8”, “Mate”, or “SM8”).

If you want a definitive yes/no on the exact headlines and landing page, email the ServiceM8 Support team at support@servicem8.com with the ad text and URL.

Thanks,
Cody

Hi Blair,

The key requirement in our Add-on Store branding guidelines is that your messaging can’t portray the integration as being developed or supported by ServiceM8.

Those same guidelines also say that if you’re listing an integration with ServiceM8 on another website, it must be clear that your business developed the integration, which matches what you’re aiming to do on the landing page.

Where you reference ServiceM8 in text, make sure it’s spelled and capitalised as “ServiceM8”.

If you’d like campaign-specific confirmation, you can contact Support via the Help menu in the Online Dashboard (chat or email).

Thanks,
Cody
