Welcome to the ServiceM8 Community Forum a private, members-only space for ServiceM8 customers and partners to share knowledge, swap workflows, get help, and learn best practices (including developer support for our API and SDK).
To help keep conversations useful, respectful, and easy to find, please read the guidelines below.
The basics
We keep things simple please follow these core principles:

Be constructive and kind: Share feedback that helps. No harassment, threats, discrimination, trolling, or personal attacks.

Help us keep the forum tidy: Search before posting, use clear titles, and post in the right category so others can find and answer quickly.

No spam or noise: Keep replies relevant and avoid repetitive posting, unsolicited promotion, or lead-gen content.

Respect the moderators: Moderators are here to keep the community safe and organized. Please follow their guidance and decisions.
Do’s and Don’ts of the forum
Do

Post in the correct category (e.g., API for endpoints/webhooks, SDK for SDK usage, setup, and code).

Include helpful context when asking for help: what you’re trying to do, what happened, steps to reproduce, screenshots/logs (sanitized), and device/app details.

Share tips and workflows that may help other trades businesses be specific about what worked and why.

Use forum tools (likes, bookmarks, flags) to surface great answers and report problems.
Don’t

Share sensitive information: No passwords, API keys, tokens, private URLs, customer personal data, or confidential business info. Blur or redact screenshots/logs.

Cross-post the same question in multiple categories or topics.

Derail threads start a new topic if you’re changing direction.

Engage with bad behaviour flag it instead and let moderators handle it.
Privacy, security, and confidentiality (important)
This is a private community, but you should still post responsibly:

Remove personal/customer details from screenshots, job notes, invoices, and exports.

Never post credentials or secrets (API keys, access tokens, webhooks containing sensitive payloads, etc.).

If you believe you’ve found a security vulnerability, don’t post it publicly report it via the appropriate ServiceM8 support channel.
How to post and comment

Reply to a specific message using the reply button on that post.

Reply to the whole topic using the reply button at the bottom of the thread.

Use @mentions to bring someone into the conversation.

Use likes to highlight helpful replies and flags to report spam, abuse, or unsafe content.
Moderation and enforcement
Moderators may move, edit, or remove content to keep things safe and organized. Repeated or serious violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or removal of access.
Common reasons content may be removed or accounts actioned:

Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech

Spam or repeated self-promotion

Posting sensitive/confidential information

Impersonation, fraud, or illegal content

Persistent disruptive behaviour or trolling

This forum is a place for community discussion and shared knowledge. While ServiceM8 team members may participate, responses aren’t guaranteed or real-time. For urgent account, billing, or time-critical issues, please contact ServiceM8 Support directly.
