The Job Diary shows a combined feed from staff, system, and add-ons publishing via `publish_diary_items`. The native Diary already offers filters (e.g. Notes), and — importantly — those filter options only appear when matching entries actually exist in that job’s diary. That conditional behavior is exactly right.

**Request:** Add a **per-add-on filter facet** to the native Job Diary (web + mobile), following the same pattern as the existing filters: the filter for a given add-on would **only appear when that add-on has published entries in the current job’s diary**. This lets a user show only a specific add-on’s activity, or hide it to focus on staff entries.

**Why:** As add-ons publish richer activity into the diary, busy jobs get dense. Since diary entries already carry the publishing add-on’s identity, exposing it as a conditional filter facet should be low-friction and fully consistent with how diary filters already behave today.

Hi Miciah,

The Job Diary currently supports filtering by record type in the iOS app and Online Dashboard, so a conditional per-add-on facet would be a logical extension of that workflow.

We’ve captured your suggestion for web and mobile, including showing an add-on’s filter only when it has published entries in the current job. Product feedback is read, analysed, and categorised by our team to help shape future improvements, although we generally can’t comment on whether or when a particular request may be released.

Thanks,
Cody
