Addon code is not saving

Hi,

I hope you are doing well.

I would like to report an issue we are currently experiencing with the custom ServiceM8 addon and request your assistance in investigating the root cause.

Issue Observed

1. Custom Addon Code Is Not Saving

We are currently unable to save changes made to the custom addon code in the code editor.

  • When we make changes to the addon code and click the Save button, the changes are not persisted.

  • After saving, the code remains unchanged and reverts to the previous version.

  • We have experienced the same issue with other addons as well, so it does not appear to be limited to a specific addon.

  • We also tested the issue using Incognito/Private Browsing mode, but the behaviour remains the same.

  • This suggests that the issue may be related to the ServiceM8 addon/code editor, permissions, or a backend/server-side issue rather than a browser cache or local browser problem.

Could you please investigate this issue and help us identify the root cause?

In particular, could you please check whether there are any issues with:

  • Saving or updating addon code from the editor

  • Account or addon permissions

  • Backend/API requests responsible for saving the code

  • Any recent changes or restrictions affecting custom addon development

  • Any errors being logged when the Save button is clicked

This is currently preventing us from making and deploying updates to our custom addons, so we would appreciate it if you could investigate this as soon as possible.

Please let us know if you need any additional information, screenshots, addon IDs, or other details from our side to troubleshoot the issue.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Raj

Hi Raj,

We’ve applied a fix to your account. Please log out and back in, then try saving your add-on code again and wait for the status to show “Ready.”

If the issue continues, please let us know which add-on was affected and the approximate time you tried saving.

Thanks!

Hi Raj,

For Simple Function Add-ons, the expected behaviour is that you open the add-on’s settings, select Edit Function, modify the code, and Save instantly updates it.

Since the save isn’t persisting for you, this needs to be investigated through Support with the affected account/add-on details rather than shared publicly. Please email support@servicem8.com with the affected add-on name/App ID, the approximate time and timezone of a failed Save attempt, and screenshots showing the add-on details.

Thanks,
Cody
